B. General Information

We provide doorstep pickup service for an additional charge. Please contact us for more details during registration.

If you are an international student or a foreigner wishing to obtain a driving license in Malaysia, you must meet the following requirements:
•Passport and Visa Validity:Ensure that your passport and visa are valid for at least the next 6 months.
•Visa Type: You cannot take any license course with a tourist visa. You must have a working visa or a student visa to be eligible for driving license courses in Malaysia.
These regulations ensure that only individuals with a stable, longer-term stay in Malaysia can apply for a driving license.
•2x photocopy of your identification (NRIC / passport)
•2x photocopy of your license (If you have)
•1x license size photo with white background
•Payment registration
•Follow the dress code guidelines
Attendance for the KPP-01 class is compulsory. It is recorded via the thumbprint method. If you do not provide your thumbprint, your attendance will not be counted, and you will need to repeat the class. Represent someone else to attend the KPP-01 class is strictly not allowed.

Steps to Follow:
•Application Form: Obtain the Application Form for Legal Road Testing (Part 1) for Illiterate Candidates.
•Theory Courses: Attend the KPP-01 theory course for 6 hours.
•Special Oral Test: We will book special oral test from JPJ for computer illiterate candidates.
Your ‘L’ License is valid for 2 years from the date of your first KPP01 lecture. You can renew it (every 3 months) at any JPJ branch or Post Office or UTC near you within this period. If it exceeds 2 years, you will need to restart the course beginning with the KPP01 lecture again.
You can issue your ‘P’ license at any State/Branch JPJ Office only, three working days after passing the JPJ test.
Your ‘P’ license is valid for 1 year from the end of the probationary period. Before it expires, you can convert or renew it to a full CDL (Competent Driver’s License) at any JPJ counter. If you already have a CDL, you can renew it at the post office,JPJ counter or MyJPJ apps.
For ‘P’ License is 1 year and CDL License is 3 years. Application for an expired driving license appeal can be done in person at the State/Branch JPJ Office only. Expired driving licenses involve: Probationary driving license (PDL) over 1 year Competent driving license (CDL) over 3 years Vocational driving license (GDL/PSV) over 3 years

C. Information About Car License

If you possess an Automatic (DA) license, this type of license has certain limitations:
•Driving limitation: You can only operate automatic transmission cars on the road.
•Upgrade Restriction: Your driving license cannot be upgraded to include heavy vehicles like lorries, buses, etc.

On the other hand, if you have a Manual (D) license, if offers more flexibility:
•Driving Flexibility: You can drive both automatic and manual transmission cars.
•Upgrade Capability: Your driving license can be upgraded to include heavy vehicles, allowing you to drive lorries, buses, and other large vehicles.
Effective September 15, 2023, individuals who already possess a motorcycle class or motorcar driving license (LMM) and wish to obtain a license in a different class do not need to attend the KPP01 course or retake the theory test. Here are the specific details:
•Exemption: If you have passed the KPP01 theory test for a motorcycle license, you do not need to retake it for a motorcar driving license, and vice versa.
•Practical Training Required: You are still required to undergo the KPP02 (practical, on circuit) and KPP03 (practical, on road) tests at driving institutions for the respective vehicle classes.
•Age Eligibility: The age requirement remains 16 for a motorcycle license and 17 for a motorcar driving license.
This exemption makes it more convenient for individuals to obtain licenses for different vehicle classes without redundant theory testing.
The course duration is 3 to 4 months, depending on the instructor’s availability. We also offer an express package that allows you to complete the driving course within 45 to 60 days, please check with our registration counter.
We have female instructors, so you can select the one you prefer.
No problem. However, if your baby is already over 7 months old, we recommend getting confirmation from your doctor during your regular check-up to prevent any unforeseen incidents.

D. Information About Motor License

Yes. If you have motorcycle (B2) license, you can upgrade it to superbike (BFull) L license at JPJ. We will offer discount when you register at our counter.
You are not allowed to drive alone unless there is an instructor next to you. For motorcycle/superbike ‘L’ license, you can ride alone without any passengers.

E. Information About Heavy Vehicles License

Yes, there is. We have GDL and PSV vocational licenses. You can DOWNLOAD HERE vocational License Application Form (JPJ L8A) for medical checkup purpose.
A Goods driving license (GDL) pertains to operating goods vehicles for transporting cargo. It is categorized into three types: light vehicles, heavy vehicles, and articulated vehicles. GDL (D) licenses cover light goods vehicles such as small trucks and heavy vans with an unloaded weight not exceeding 3500kg. GDL (E) licenses encompass rigid heavy vehicles and articulated heavy vehicles, including articulated trucks with an unloaded weight of 7500kg (Gross Laden Weight, GLW) and a maximum vehicle weight of GLW 44000kg, including trailer trucks, tankers, and container carriers. Candidates must hold a Class E Driving License before applying for a Class GDL (E) license.

Meanwhile, the Public service vehicle (PSV) License is required for operating public transportation vehicles for passengers. It includes three categories based on vehicle types: PSV Van (D), PSV Taxi/Grab (E-hailing), and PSV Bus (E). Candidates must obtain a full Class E License before applying for a PSV Bus (E) license.
